Planet Antares Scam Solutions Gives Ways to Avoid Modeling and Talent Scams
Many young women who have spent even a small amount of time looking at television, movies and magazines have wondered whether they have “what it takes” to become an actor or model. Unfortunately, talent agencies are rife with scam artists who are more interested in separating victims from their money than they are in providing actual services that can help aspiring models and actors achieve their dreams.Planet antares scam solutions offers a few tips to help you avoid falling victim to talent and modeling agency scams.
Planet antares scam recommends not paying up-front fees for services of any kind; up-front fees are illegal and they comprise the majority of complaints against scam talent agencies. There is no legitimate reason to charge an up-front fee for anything in the modeling and talent industries. Legitimate agencies represent talent at no cost and charge a percentage after the talent has been given an assignment. Expenses occurred by the agency for photography and other promotional items are normally deducted after the client begins working. If an agent asks you to pay up front, head for the door. Ways to Avoid Interstate Moving Scams
planet antares scam solutions: Moving from one state to another is more common during a recession, as people take advantage of new job opportunities. Some unscrupulous moving companies also use these opportunities to scam unsuspecting people into paying two, three even four times as much for moving services as they quoted in their original estimates.Due to a series of federal deregulations in the 1980′s and 1990′s, the moving industry is largely unregulated. Though the moving industry is nominally under the jurisdiction of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, this agency has few resources to act on consumer complaints.
Many consumers find that moving companies will not honor their “binding estimates” and often ask for two or three times the original quote to deliver the consumer’s belongings after the freight has arrived at its destination. Consumers who don’t agree to pay the inflated charges find their goods stashed in a warehouse indefinitely. Consumers have few resources except to pay or abandon their possessions. As Heating Season Approaches, Avoid Duct Cleaning Scams
Some homeowners look to improve the cleanliness and the air quality in their homes by having their ductwork cleaned. Unfortunately, ductwork-cleaning scams can cost unsuspecting consumers hundreds, or even thousands of dollars.According to the Environmental Protection Agency, there is no evidence to suggest that cleaning residential ductwork can prevent health problems. Further, there is no indication that dust in a home’s ductwork is distributed around the home when the system is working, or even that dirty ductwork is a home’s primary source of allergens and irritants.
Planet Antares Scam Solutions knows of a few situations that warrant duct cleaning. These include visible evidence of mold growth on the inside surfaces of the ductwork; infestation by insects or vermin; or debris buildup that may occur during home construction or renovation. In the case of mold growth, the entire heating and cooling system – not just the ductwork – should be cleaned. Failure to clean the entire system and correct the problems that enabled the mold growth in the first place will not prevent mold from re-growing in your ductwork. Read the rest of this entry »

Avoiding Utility Scams
Consumers are likely to look for savings wherever they can find them, and the prospect of lowering utility bills can be attractive. Unfortunately, planet antares scam solutions has become aware of some scam artists preying on consumers using tactics that are reminiscent of phone company “slamming” schemes that were popular in the 1990′s.As part of deregulation, utility customers can now purchase gas and electric services from a company other than the one that maintains the delivery system, but the billing for all services still comes from the primary utility service. This uncoupling of product and service has opened the door to unscrupulous energy providers that illegally switch customers away from their utility provider and charge them significantly more for utility services than their previous provider.
